PCI / ISA SDLC Adapter Pinout
SystexComm's PCI/ISA interface SDLC card is designed with a male 25 pin D-Sub Connector (RS-232), which follows the RS-232 standards defined by EIA/TIA.
RS-232 is an Active LOW voltage driven interface and operates at +12V to -12V where:
Signal = 0 (LOW) > +3.0V
Signal = 1 (HIGH) > +3.0V
Signal voltages in the rage of >-3.0V to +3.0V is regarded as 'dead area' and allows for absorption of noise. The power level on RS-232 pins is defined by TIA in terms of short circuit protection at 100mA.
