PCI SDLC Adapter HIS Server Installation
- Link Service installation
After plugging the SystexComm PCI SDLC card onto the computer, boot Windows Server and follow the steps below. It is assumed that MicroSoft HIS Server is already installed successfully on the computer.
- Install SystexComm PCI SDLC adapter driver by executing SETUP.EXE from HIS Server driver
- Click on "Install Software" button to copy Link Service files into HIS server root directory and update registry entries.
- Open the HIS Server Manager
- Open "Insert Link Service" dialog box
- Select "Systex SDLC Link Service", and click "Add"
- A configuration dialog window will appear. The common settings are:
- Line type: Leased
- Line speed: External
Constant
- RTS: enabled
- Click on "Help" button in order to obtain detailed information about configuration parameters. Click on "OK" when finished.
- Click on "Finish" button in the "Insert Link Service" dialog box to finish the installation.
- Link Service Configuration
The parameters set during the above installation step may be altered by the following steps:
- Open HIS Server Manager
- Open the "Link Services" folder, select the link service to configure and click the mouse right button and select "Properties" from the pop-up menu.
- Change the Link Service properties to fit the actual network conditions and click "OK".
- You have to save all the settings in order to apply the changes mode
Open HIS Server Manager, then the "Link Service" folder, select the link service you wish to delete, click the right mouse button and select "Delete" from the pop-up menu.
Note that the Link Service files will not be removed from the HIS Server root directory, therefore the Link Service maybe reinstalled anytime by repeating the installation process.
